Here are the answers to our customers most frequently asked questions:
How is the price decided according to different documents?
The price will differ depending on the area of expertise, the degree of difficulty and purpose of the document. It will also differ according to whether it is possible to work with a relatively large number of translators or a small number of specialized translators. Because careful research and checking is essential when the purpose is for publications, websites and other information that is open to the public, the price will be higher than for internally used contents and data
Is it still possible to obtain an estimate even if I don`t currently have the document at hand?
Yes. We will try to the best of our abilities to give you an accurate estimate. This is based on the field of the document, the purpose of it and the approximate volume. Please consult us on this.
Will the estimate of the translation and the actual cost differ?
No. Our company decides the cost based on the number of words of the original document. The final cost does not depend on the completed number of words. Naturally, the word count will differ depending on the language even though the content is the same, so you can feel confident about deciding your budget and settling the price beforehand, when you order through this system with us.
Is there a discount for orders which overlap?
If it is anticipated that the overlapping of projects will reduce the translation process we may consider a discount.
Is it OK to make changes to a document after I have placed an order?
The fee is due on completion of the translation. However, please try not to make changes to a document after an order has been placed. In the case of any alterations being made, please contact us as soon as possible
Can the translator use our standardized terminology?
Yes. Please give this to us when you make an order (before production). We endeavor to improve the efficiency and quality of tools for manuals or continuing work where there is a large amount of standardized terminology. Other than terminology, please also provide any reference materials and relevant web pages. When we receive the information for product names, specialized (business) terminology, your company`s own terminology etc., we can select the appropriate terminology.
I`ve contacted a number of translation companies and the estimates are different. Why is this?
Because we do not know the estimates of other companies in detail it is difficult to answer this exactly. For your reference though, it is important to prioritize the reasons for selecting a translation company, which include the purpose of the translation and the level of quality that you are looking for.
Depending on the translation company, the process (which may or may not include proofreading and to differing extents), fields of specialization, language specializations and the finish of the document (whether it has a layout and the extent of this) will be different. It is not only a matter of price so we recommend that after checking the level of the completion of the translation that you then compare the different translation companies.
In the case of choosing Accent, please specify your exact needs to us. By specifying what is necessary and what is unnecessary, we can propose a service and estimate that suits your needs.
I think there is a mistake in the translation. Can you correct it for me?
Yes. We will check this straight away and correct any mistranslation. We have a process management system in place in order to avoid mistranslations or flaws in meaning however, should this situation arise, we will perform any corrections free of charge. (Unfortunately, once production of the translation begins, there will be a separate charge for any revisions made to the original document).
